Hello, fellow neighbors. We are open for business.
As the owner of TexVents I wanted to speak with you about the health crisis that we are currently enduring and how we at TexVents are responding to it.
My first and foremost concern is for the health and well-being of my family, friends, and neighbors. We are following, and we urge you to follow, the “Stay at Home Order” and all necessary precautions to protect yourselves and your neighbors in the D/FW area.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS: I always wear a facemask and gloves, from introduction to the completion of service. I attempt to maintain a six-foot distance at all times. Concerning payment, I can take your credit card number from six feet away and send you an electronic receipt without having any personal contact. This way, you can be assured that we are both doing our part to be responsible citizens.
PRICING: All dryer vent cleaning and chimney sweep services will be performed at a discount of 25.00 per service in order to help our neighbors through this difficult time.
We DO remain open and ready to assist you, should you encounter a safety concern in your home due to a clogged dryer vent or a dirty chimney. Dryer vents, especially, can be a cause for concern, since a buildup of flammable lint in your dryer vent system can be both problematic and dangerous. This situation can cause longer-than-normal dry times and could potentially be a fire hazard. If you are currently at this stage, please do not hesitate to call upon TexVents or another professional to remedy the problem. Other options include discontinued use of your dryer if possible, or temporarily disconnecting your dryer’s flexible hose from the dryer vent coming out of the wall. If these are not viable options, please let us know and we will be happy to help.
TexVents is following the guidance and directive of Judge B. Glen Whitley’s Executive Order, also known as the “Stay at Home Order.” Our interpretation of the order is that we are allowed to resolve the kinds of safety concerns addressed above. TexVents is taking direction from Item 15, Section D, Paragraph vi as follows:
vi. Essential Services Necessary to Maintain Essential Operations of Residences or Other Essential Businesses. Trash and recycling collection, processing and disposal, mail and shipping services, building cleaning and maintenance, auto repair, warehouse/distribution and fulfillment, and storage for essential businesses. Plumbers, pool services, security services, electricians, exterminators, and other service providers who provide services that are necessary to maintaining the safety, sanitation, and essential operations of residences, Essential Activities, and Essential Businesses. Professional services, such as legal or accounting services, when necessary to assist in compliance with legally mandated activities.
Wishing you good health,
Jeff Williams-Owner, TexVents
